Susan (Andrea Roth) spends her life leaping from one abusive foster home to the next, and when she reaches adulthood wants nothing more than to get revenge on the mother who abandoned her. Susan follows her family tree's roots to a horse ranch owned by her birth parents (Gil Gerard and Cindy Pickett), where her long-lost sister (Lisa Dean Ryan) begins to suspect the beautiful drifter isn't who she claims.

Born to Dutch/Scottish parents, Roth grew up as a first generation Canadian in Woodstock, Ontario. While attending college and interning at a Toronto based advertising agency, Roth was approached by a top modeling scout to pursue a career as a print and runway model. From there she quickly segued into acting, rapidly becoming one of Canada's most prominent female actresses.

Roth is a 1993 graduate of West Chester University with a bachelor's degree in athletic training. After attending West Chester, Roth earned a master's of arts from the University of Alabama in 1995. During her tenure with the Crimson Tide, Roth helped with the women's basketball and women's soccer teams.
