Upon arriving home, Amisha decided to explore her creative side and joined a local theater troupe. Although she clearly enjoyed acting, she never considered making a career of it until a fateful day in 2000, when she was approached by a family friend and prominent Bollywood producer, Rakesh Roshan. Roshan was in the process of creating a film to introduce his son, Hrithik, to the industry and he asked Amisha if she would be interested in playing the heroine. Pyaar Hai, as the film was known, became a smash hit.

Obviously director Vikram Bhatt couldn't resist the pairing of Amisha and Hrithik, that's when he brought the two together again in Aap Mujhe Achche Lagne Lage. This time the chemistry was very present, perhaps due to the fact that they were comfortable with each other. The love story in Amall was ... stronger then in KNPH, it gave room for the pair to maneuver their affections of love. The most beautiful scene in the film held a close to hollywood classic shot when Rohit looked into the eyes of Sapna and told her that she was free. Although the film was a disappointment, the pairing of Miss Patel opposite Roshan Jr. was not.
