The band "Amigos" is comprised of the finest musicians in the Sacramento area. "Amigos" was assembled with the common goal of faithfully recreating the music, energy and atmosphere of the original "Santana" band. This very special blend of music crosses all ethnic backgrounds and is popular with all age groups. The "Amigos" band flows seamlessly through all the styles of the "Santana" band. You will hear the magical ballads created by Carlos Santana and the Latin rock percussion rhythms will beckon you to dance freely. Audience participation is encouraged as during the shows rhythm instruments are handed out and often people are brought on the stage to play with the band!

Amigos is a 1976 album from Santana. The album contained a minor hit single in "Let It Shine," and was the band's first album to hit the top ten on the Billboard charts (and ultimately reaching gold record status) since Caravanserai in 1972. Arguably, Amigos could be viewed as a much more accessible album in comparison to the ones that preceded it.

The Amigos make several disastrous attempts to thwart the bandits, including infiltration of El Guapo's birthday party and seeking of mystical aid via a singing bush and an invisible swordsman. They then ride an aeroplane, piloted by Ned, back to the village. Lucky Day (Steve Martin) delivers a speech about conquering an individual's personal "El Guapo", whether that be a lack of self-confidence or an actual killer by that name. They then discover that the villagers' greatest skill is sewing. The Amigos organize the villagers, using their sewing skills to create an army of "Amigos" by replicating their mariachi costumes. The villagers defeat the bandits by appearing clad in the costumes and shooting from all sides, creating the illusion that the Amigos are everywhere.
