Though she was at an event to raise money for her own funeral, 17-year-old Amber Evans was all smiles March 6. Hundreds of friends, family members and total strangers crowded the bowling fundraiser at Brunswick Doverama to support the Woodside teen, who doctors say has only a short time left to live as the result of germ cell cancer.

Kylee VonDeylen, a senior from Napoleon, and Amber Evans, a freshman from Union, Ohio, each had a good weekend, finishing third at #3 and #4 singles, respectively. VonDeylen split her first two matches before winning the third-place match, 6-4, 2-6, 6-4 over Laura Ream of Hanover College.

Johnny Stewart is a life-long con-man who meets a girl, Amber Evans, and tries to impress her by cleaning up his act and doing things the honest way. He becomes a mailroom clerk at the credit card firm where she works and soon finds that he needs money to impress Amber, so he steals a credit card and charges ridiculous amounts of merchandise on the card in hopes of winning Amber's heart. The supervisor (who is responsible for a virtual stolen credit card empire) records Johnny stealing a returned credit card, and decides to con him into joining his credit card ring.
