In 2005, Amanda was crowned Miss Montana USA and was soon placed in the Top 8 for Miss Earth a year later. Having competed in many beauty pageants, she has been on the cover of Montana Living Magazine and Pageantry Magazine. She has ... traveled to China twice to compete in the Miss Kite of the World Pageant in Weifang. She soon landed a spot as a semi-finalist and was given a key to the city. She was then featured in numerous billboards and news articles, and was asked to promote tourism through the pageant. As part of her participation in the pageant, she also did volunteer work at orphanages and other charitable organizations.

The character of Amanda was created to be one of Duncan MacLeod's blasts from the past (and maybe to add some tension between her and Tessa Noël) just like the villain of the week moments in Highlander: The Series. She firstly appeared in the 1993 episode "The Lady and the Tiger". She has a lot of chemistry with Duncan and both the writers and fans like her cunning, lying, immoral, selfish, manipulative ways, and she is certainly not boring. She is likeable and annoying at the same time. Her appearances increased from then on.

French-born pop singer Amanda started getting involved in music after her family settled in Taby, Sweden. While taking dance classes, the artist joined the musical +The Sound of Music, and was soon singing "Little Stars" at Gottenburg's World Athletic Games. Amanda became the first young female pop act to sign with Madonna's Maverick Records, making her professional debut with "You Don't Stand a Chance," from Rugrats in Paris' movie soundtrack.

In 2007, Amanda appeared as a contestant on the 15th season of the hit CBS reality television series, Survivor: China. Starting out on the Fei Long tribe, Amanda had a strong alliance with Todd and Courtney, and went with them to the final three. During the final jury, Amanda was criticized for apologizing too much, not giving reasons to the jury as to why she voted for them, and didn't admit ever lying to them. She only received one final jury vote, losing to Todd, who receive 4, and to Courtney, who receive 2 votes.

Amanda was born in the Abbey of St. Anne in Normandy, France approximately in the year 820. She is a poor and uneducated thief during the plague era in Europe until her first death in 850, when she is beaten in the head after stealing food from a plague-ridden house. She is almost cast into the fire (supposedly to keep her from spreading the plague, having eaten contaminated food), but Immortal Rebecca Horne saves her from that fate just as Amanda breathes her last, and becomes her teacher and mentor. Rebecca teaches Amanda the way of living, The Game, how to fight, and they become best friends. Amanda... can not let go of her stealing ways and, one day, tries to steal the Methuselah's Stone that belonged to Rebecca. She is caught but Rebecca forgives her.
