For a movie about the hotel and dressing rooms of a rock-and-roll band, Almost Famous is surprisingly clean. Drug use is hinted at, though never shown, and there's almost no nudity or on-screen sex. Nonetheless, the movie certainly accepts the rock scene, with its accompanying free sex and drugs, as a viable lifestyle, particularly for the young. Those who find that viewpoint too offensive or, on the other hand, too attractive may want to avoid Crowe's lovenest.

UNIVERSAL CITY, Calif., Sept. 26 /PRNewswire/ -- Academy Award(R) nominee Kate Hudson ("Almost Famous," "Raising Helen") stars in the contemporary edge-of-your-seat thriller, "The Skeleton Key," coming to DVD and VHS November 15, 2005 from Universal Studios Home Entertainment. In "The Skeleton Key," director Iain Softley ("K-Pax") delivers a spine-chilling tale about the authentic world of magic, conjure and sacrifice -- rituals rooted in ancient tradition, but still practiced today. With an astonishing surprise ending to the film that will leave fans spellbound, the DVD is ... loaded with over 20 minutes of never-before-released scenes from the film, as well as mesmerizing bonus features.
Presented in 1.85:1 anamorphic widescreen, "Almost Famous" looks outstanding. Dreamworks once again delivers a fabulous transfer. Colors are well saturated and very solid. The whole look and era of the 70s is captured perfectly. A lot constantly changes and this transfer keeps up. Detail is excellent and lighting in scenes look really good.

Billboard - The artist's debut EP,"Almost Famous (The Sexy Lady EP),"was released July 24. The Hot 100's top debut is Kanye West's"Stronger"at No. 47. The cut, which samples Daft Punk's"Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger,"will be found on West's Sept. 11 Def
The sound in ‘Almost Famous’ is for the most part enveloping, producing the wonderful emotional upsurge that has set most of the characters’ lives on their current course. Dialogue, ambience and music are usually well-mixed. However, a few ambient sounds are isolated in the back channels, an effect used so sporadically that the result is more distracting than mood-setting.

ALMOST FAMOUS is one of the best cover bands around today. That's a bold statement, but it's exactly what you'll be saying after you experience one of their shows. With a completely fired-up & kickass stage show, ALMOST FAMOUS combines pure hedonistic rock & roll debauchery with some of the most talented musicians in the NY Metro Area...the majority of whom have been signed to major labels or recorded & toured with major acts around the globe. They move effortlessly through a who's-who of Rock & Roll's greatest hits and biggest anthems, while entertaining and completely engrossing the audience. Their dead-on versions of the songs they perform blow away every crowd they play to...especially when those songs come from a list of Monster Bands that include: Journey, Boston, Kansas, Rush, Def Leppard, Aerosmith, Disturbed, Led Zeppelin, Bon Jovi, Guns 'n' Roses & Van Halen just to name a few! And when the crowd starts dancing, Almost Famous breaks out the Funkalicious-Freaky-Deeeeky-Favorites into the UltraBoogie Bootaaay Mix from funk masters such as The Commodores, Wild Cherry, and K.C.
