The concept associated with the term Allah (as a deity) varies depending on the tradition. In pre-Islamic Arabia, Allah was not the sole divinity, he had associates and companions, sons and daughters. There was ... a kind of kinship of between Allah and the jinn. [6] In Islam, Allah is the pivot of the Muslim faith who is the only God, all-merciful and omnipotent, transcendent creator of the universe, and the judge of humankind.[3][1] As the Arab Christians today have no other word for 'God' than 'Allah'[7], they for example use the term Allāh al-ab (الله الآب) meaning God the father. There are both similarities and differences between the concept of God as portrayed in the Qur'an and the Hebrew Bible. [8] The Qur'an also rejects the Trinitarian conception of God as three persons in one substance.[9]

The Muslim's claim that Allah is the God of the Bible and that Islam arose from the religion of the prophets and apostles is refuted by solid, overwhelming archeological evidence. Islam is nothing more than a revival of the ancient Moon-god cult. It has taken the symbols, the rites, the ceremonies, and even the name of its god from the ancient pagan religion of the Moon-god. As such, it is sheer idolatry and must be rejected by all those who follow the Torah and Gospel. moongod.htm

The term "Allah" comes from the Arabic "al-Lah", that can be translated with "the god". In pre-Islamic times, in the polytheistic religion of Mecca, there was a god that was called by this name. Al-Lah was probably considered as the highest god, but not an acting power, and therefore rarely focused on in rituals. While Islam rejects the other deities, al-Lah is described as the one eternal, omnipotent god. "Allah" is therefore not a proper name, and ... Arabic Christians use "Allah" in their Arabic Bible.

The oneness of Allah is the one most important theological principal in Islam. The first of the five pillars, the declaration of faith, which is the first act that one does to embark on Islam, reiterates the necessity of the belief in the oneness of Allah. It begins with the negation of any god other than Allah:

Muhammad, a supposed prophet of Allah, denies God’s only begotten Son. Not only did he deny Him, he taught others to do so as well. Therefore, based on the words in the Bible and based on the words in the Koran, Muhammad is condemned by the God of the Bible as the result of his own false teachings. According to Matthew 10:33, He is ... condemned by His only begotten Son Jesus Christ. Besides the Suras already cited, the following additional Suras demonstrate Muhammad’s rejection of God’s message of salvation to mankind:

Although the name "Allah" is most commonly associated with Islam, it was ... used in pre-Islamic times. The father of Muhammad, Islam's prophet, had the name "Abdullah"; which translates to servant of Allah. The Arab Jews referred to God as Allah, and the Hebrew form of this name, El (אל) or Eloh (אלוה), was used as an Old Testament synonym for Yahweh (יהוה). The Aramaic word for God is also "Allah", therefore it is believed that Jesus Christ also used this word in his teachings.
