The Riddell Footwear High School All-American Football Team recognizes the best high school football players from throughout the country. Nominations for the Team are made by position bi-weekly throughout the football season. In January final team members will be announced, along with the Riddell Footwear National Coach of the Year and six Regional Coaches of the Year.

Grand Island, Neb – The Victory Sports Network has released the 2007 NAIA Football All-American Teams. This marks the sixth season for the awards. The biggest honors on this year’s team were split among three different schools as VSN selected offensive, defensive and coach of the year awards. Chad Cavender was named VSN’s Offensive NAIA Player of the Year while Owen Koeppen of Carroll College garnered VSN’s Defensive NAIA Player of the Year. This year’s team is presented by Engravers Edge of Sioux Falls, South Dakota.
A three-year starter for the Irish at end from 1940-42, Dove was a consensus All-American in his final two seasons. As a freshman in '39, he caught 15 passes for 187 yards from future Heisman Trophy winner Angelo Bertelli. Dove then became the first sophomore to start for the Irish in 11 seasons. He received the Knute Rockne Memorial Trophy in 1942 as the top collegiate lineman in the country and ... played in the East-West Shrine All-Star Game. During his three seasons as a starter, Dove helped the Irish to a 22-4-3 record, including an undefeated (8-0-1) campaign in Leahy's first season (1941).

COLUMBUS, Ohio-- Four Cobber players capped their tremendous senior seasons by being named to the Football Gazette All-American Team. Nick Didier (Sr., Helena, Mont.), Josh Dietz (Sr., Glencoe, Minn.), Andrew Passanante (Sr., Hawley, Minn.) and Jordan Talge (Sr., Moorhead, Minn.) all earned All-American honors for the first time in their career.

Glass was a unanimous consensus All-American guard on one of Baylor's greatest football teams. His senior season, 1956, he helped the Bears to a 9-2 record and a Sugar Bowl victory over previously undefeated Tennessee. He was voted the Houston Post's 1956 SWC Most Valuable Player.

Didier completes his whirlwind award season by being named to his fourth All-American Team. Earlier, He was named to the AP Little All-American First Team, the Football Gazette All-American First Team and was the only Cobber selected on the American Football Coaches Association (AFCA) All-American Team. Didier ... participated in the Aztec Bowl, which features an NCAA Division III All-Star team against a college All-Star team from Mexico. He was also only the fourth player in program history to win the MIAC's Stam Award, which is given to the league's Most Outstanding Lineman.
