On Saturday, February 9, 2008, Alkaline Trio posted a message on their myspace page explaining that they had been in the studio for three weeks working on a new album. The release date, title, as well as whether or not completed songs like "In Vain" or "Fire Down Below" will be on the record are still not known.

Alkaline Trio released their new Vagrant Records album titled Crimson on May 24th, 2005, which featured the song "Time to Waste." The single for this song ... included bonus tracks produced by Common Rider bassist Mass Giorgini.

Crimson is Alkaline Trio's 6th Full Length Album, and it was released on May 24th, 2005. It's definetly one of the strongest so far. It was produced by Jerry Finn mastered by Dave Collins, and launched by Vagrant Records. It was recorded in Los Angeles, California, on the last days of 2004.
