Abigail (Alison Steadman) is the drunken hostess of a lame dinner party where her husband has the bad timing (and poor taste) to collapse from a heart attack onto the new carpet. The predicament forces Abigail into making a tough decision: What's more important, her dinner party or her stricken husband? Typical flinty fare from British director Mike Leigh.
