Alienware: Computers

Alienware computers come with Theme Manager oem preinstalled, as AlienGUIse. This has the same features as Theme Manager, but with cut-down versions of software such as Icon Packager and WindowBlinds that cannot be launched separately and cannot apply individual packages. However the advantages are that AlienGUIse is free of charge, and does not show any advertisements. AlienGUIse ... can use .suite files from WinCustomize, but once again, with another disadvantage; not being able to use .suite files that use software that does not come with AlienGUIse, such as CursorXP. Alienware has also decided to allow non-Alienware consumers to download AlienGUIse as well, requiring only an e-mail address.
Alienware is arguably the sexiest computer manufacturer in the greater OEM space. With their acquisition by Dell, it remains to be seen whether they retain their edge, but so far the new machines continue to instill excitement. It ... helps that Alienware has started offering Free Shipping and Money Off Deals.
Alienware is showcasing a new [C]urved DLP computer display at CES with a 2880 x 900 screen resolution. The monitor is only a prototype, but the DLP display with LED illumination has incredible potential for Digital Audio Workstations when it bows sometime in the fall of 2008.

As of FY 2005, Alienware brought in upwards of $170 million USD in annual sales[3], while undertaking an international expansion initiative launched in 2003 to maintain a presence in Australia, Canada, France, Germany, United Kingdom, and Costa Rica. Alienware has had a call center in Costa Rica to handle all sales and support calls for a number of years.[4] Additionally, Alienware allows you to send in old computer hardware in exchange for credit towards new hardware.[5]
