Alien Hominid: Levels
built 618 days ago
Alien Hominid contains 16 levels of action that will have you jumping, rolling, ducking and blowing up everything in your path. Taking a closer look into Alien Hominid, there?s a lot of moves that you will need to master to defeat the big bosses. Along with the usual movements like move, jump and duck, you ... have the ability to roll, back flip, use vehicles, toss grenades and even dig for cover (extremely useful). More advanced moves are the various freak attacks.
Converted to the GBA by Tuna Technologies, Alien Hominid has lost none of its visual charm, nor has its exceptional gameplay been compromised during the transition to the handheld. While several of the more technically demanding levels have been cut, the GBA conversion remains a near-perfect handheld experience.

Alien Hominid is a pure shooter in the vein of Contra or other old-school shooters. The story is pretty simple. You’re an alien who has crash-landed on Earth. just about everything else in your way. Action is very straightforward; you go from level to level shooting everything that moves. At points in each level, you’ll have to face larger threats.

The Alien Hominid clone - This is the last boss of the game. The clone is a muscular version of the Alien Hominid who was created by the Area 51 Soldiers in hopes of fending off the Alien's attacks. He is on level 3-5. This boss has all of the Alien Hominid's attacks including grenades that will set fire to the floor. The fight begins in the Area 51 base after the help you get from the Eyeball and the fight ends in the sky atop a giant slowly-falling-apart version of the Alien's spaceship.

At its core, Alien Hominid is not overly complex. You move through the levels, destroy anything that pops up in your way in a variety of styles. You can use the gun (which is upgradeable as you pick up power-ups), toss grenades, get close and do a little slicing and dicing action, or jump on their heads and after letting them run about a little bit in panic because they have an alien clinging to their heads, make their worst nightmare come true by biting them in two.
