Alien Hominid NGC Based on a flash classic, Alien Hominid is finally brought to the home console. Alien Hominid combines classic shooter action with 2D side-scrollers and great-looking, basic graphics for a seriously fun gaming experience. In this shooter, the tables are turned -- you're an alien shooting it out against and army of humans. Fight to survive by using the right weapons and your digging skills, and live to make it back it home!
If you don’t know what Alien Hominid is then, really, where have you been? The game started out as an original, downloadable single-level Flash game, which has now been downloaded over 13 million times and harks back, unashamedly, to the good old days of 2D gameplay. Zoo Digital brought the home console versions of Alien Hominid to the UK last year, and the game was a big hit at SPOnG Towers. Developer The Behemoth proffered a platform shooter that harked back to the good old days, in a Metal Slug/Contra Spirits stylee. The story is that the Alien Hominid crash lands on Earth - outside FBI HQ of all places - and has to fight off the baddies who want to take him to Area 51 for all kinds of unpleasant indignities. To avoid being probed for his alien secrets, the little fella has 13 levels of GBA-based madness and melee to find his spaceship and get outta there.

Alien Hominid Mobile Game - Screenshot 1 (Midlet Review) The lead star of Alien Hominid looks like his original counterpart on the Playstation II. In fact, it is the only reason why this game shouldn’t be deleted immediately from your phone memory. If you’re a big fan of the console version of Alien Hominid, you’ll definitely appreciate the graphics of Alien Hominid mobile, even though the gameplay will leave a sour taste in your mouth. The mobile version of Alien Hominid sports some of the cutesy art style from the console version. The game looks visually appealing in a Cartoon Network type of way.
This version of Alien Hominid has been built specifically for consoles and it shows! There are 16 hot levels, complete with mini-bosses and main-bosses. The creators have brought back all your old favorites from the original and thrown in tons more. This game is overflowing with enemies, and they come armed to the teeth! Have no fear, they've taken the alien's arsenal up a notch! You now have seven power-up weapons, which ... upgrade your grenades.

Most people upon hearing the word Alien Hominid will immediately think of a flash game on Newgrounds. And this is where it all started, on an internet site made by a group of friends that wanted to create a fun free downloadable game for people to enjoy. And who would have known it would go onto much bigger things. After the success of Alien Hominid, Tom Fulp wanted to turn it into a console game, and so he did.
Alien Hominid originally started in 2002 as a short but fun Flash game by Tom Fulp and Dan "Synj" Paladin at the well known flash website, Newgrounds. This became the first part of level one, up to the miniboss, in the full commercial release. It was released on November 23 in 2004 to strong reviews for the PS2 and GameCube. A PAL version was released 7 months later, though not for the GameCube, instead giving them an Xbox version.
