Astrologer Diana Stone in her horary astrology column on astrologyguild.com gives a great example of Algol conjunct Pars Fortuna in the horary chart for "Should I buy this house?" (August 16, 2002, 7:20 pm PDT, Felida WA).

The functor-category approach to the semantics of local variables outlined in "The essence of Algol" is described in detail in Frank Oles's Ph.D. thesis. Excerpts from this work have been included here as Chapter 11; see ... [Ole85, OT92]. This chapter describes how the extension of the store via local variable declarations can be represented using a category of store shapes and expansions, and how a treatment of procedures consistent with this view of local declarations can be obtained using a category of functors from store shapes into domains.
