Alfred Molina: Fiddler On The Roof

ALFRED MOLINA, recently finished his year long run on Broadway starring in Fiddler on the Roof playing the legendary role of Tevye, for which he received a Tony Nomination. This accomplished and versatile actor has over fifty, film, television and theater productions to his credit. Most recently, he received rave reviews in the highly successful sequel Spiderman II as the villain Dr. Ock. In addition, this summer he appeared in the Jim Jarmusch film Coffee and Cigarettes and starred in the Miramax release Undertaking Betty a comedy with Brenda Blethyn, Naomi Watts and Christopher Walken.
Alfred Molina and Jack Stehlin in Richard III Molina has completed a run at the Mark Taper Forum of The Cherry Orchard opposite Annette Bening. His history in the theatre has been highly recognized with two Tony nominations, for Fiddler on the Roof and for Art, as well as, a Drama Desk Award and an Outer Circle Critics Award for Art. He will next be seen in the spring of 2007 in playwright Patrick Marber’s Howard Katz for the Roundabout Theatre, in New York.

Returning to Broadway for the first time since his 1998 Tony Award-nominated debut in "Art," Molina has been handed quite a bonbon. The original production of "Fiddler on the Roof" opened in 1964 and won eight Tonys, including best musical and best actor for Zero Mostel.
