Coming out of college, Barron was most hyped for his size: standing 6′7″, 315 pounds, Barron ... had a wingspan of 7′6″. His physical tools didn’t end there. Barron is remarkably athletic for his size (he also excelled at basketball) and has excellent footwork. With his arm length and his fluid movement, Barron seemed a can’t-miss prospect to line up against the speed rushers becoming so popular in the NFL.

Barron has great potential, but isn't considered on the same level as some of the top prospects in recent drafts. He is a little inconsistent with his technique, and lacks the tenacity and the physical style of play you like to see in an offensive lineman. He could ... stand to add a little upper-body strength.

Pauline gushes at Barron’s physical gifts. He has great size and terrific athletic ability. Barron is a natural left tackle who can shuffle and slide. The rap on him is that he tends to get lazy, but you can bet somebody is going to overlook that and focus on Barron’s ability. It is top drawer in a bottom-drawer draft.
