The following year Alba made waves on the small screen when she was cast in the much hyped Fox series Dark Angel, executive produced by James Cameron. She was cast as a genetically-engineered woman who escapes from the lab and joins a cyberjournalist named Logan Cale (Michael Weatherly) in his neverending fight against crime in a post-apocalyptic future. Though the series was cancelled after two seasons, Alba continued to appear in such indie features as Paranoid (2000) and The Sleeping Dictionary (2002); the little-seen Glitter-esque dancer drama Honey similarly did little to enhance her profile.

Jessica Alba While her flawless beauty landed her contracts with L'Oréal and Revlon, Alba refuses to use it for nude scenes and once sued Playboy for publishing a photo of her on its cover without permission. Previously engaged to Dark Angel costar Michael Weatherly, Alba is currently engaged to Hollywood producer Cash Warren, with whom she's expecting her first child.

The Ferrero Company was established in 1946 in Alba, Italy. The company's first product was made with hazelnuts and cocoa, resulting in the base ingredients for the world's #1 selling sweet spread on the market today -- Nutella(R) hazelnut spread. Since then, the company has grown to become one of the world's largest confectionery companies with a vast portfolio that includes high-quality products such as Ferrero Rocher(R) chocolates, Ferrero Rondnoir(TM) dark chocolates, Kinder(R) chocolates, Raffaello(R) confections and Tic Tac(R) mints. Ferrero products are distributed globally throughout Europe, North America, Australia, Asia and South America.
Her big break came when writer/director James Cameron picked Alba from a pool of 1,200 candidates for the role of the genetically-engineered super-soldier, Max Guevara, on the FOX sci-fi TV series Dark Angel. Co-created by Cameron, the series starred Alba, and ran for two seasons until 2002, earning her critical acclaim as well as a Golden-Globe nomination.
