Alaska Air Group had cash and short-term investments at Dec. 31, 2007, of $823 million. The company repurchased 2,593,282 shares of its common stock for $62.8 million through Dec. 31, 2007, pursuant to the $100 million share repurchase program authorized by the Board of Directors in September 2007.
