The 34-year-old, Texas-born Tudyk is a New York theater veteran, having received the Clarence Derwent Award for most promising male newcomer in 1997 for his performance in Bunny, Bunny, a play about Gilda Radner. Among his other New York stage credits are roles in several comedies, including Paul Rudnick's The Most Fabulous Story Every Told in 1998 and David Lindsay-Abaire's Wonder of the World in 2001, both done off-Broadway.
