Alan Rickman’s film “The Winter Guest” will be shown at the Rustaveli Theatre on June 16. "The Winter Guest" is Rickman’s first film as a director. The British director has been in good friendly relations for 27 years with the Georgian prominent theatre director Robert Sturua. They jointly staged the play “Hamlet” by Shakespeare 15 years ago in Georgia.

Starring real-life mother and daughter Phyllida Law and Emma Thompson as an estranged mother and daughter, the film won a number of positive notices, further establishing Rickman as a man of impressive versatility, both in front of and behind the camera.
