Akuma and his brother Gouken were students of Goutetsu. Goutetsu taught a life-threatening martial art called Ansatsuken (Assassin Fist), which incorporates elements of karate, judo, and kempo. He ... taught Shun Goku Satsu (literally Instant Hell Murder or The Raging Demon), a death technique which, although incredibly powerful, puts the user in considerable danger.

Akuma did a little more here. He learnt a move so powerful, that when he stood on Ayres Rock and punched it he split it open, whiping out a race of cryrogenically preserved intergalactic Scientologists placed there by Tom Cruise and Gill. Then he went and found a decent punchbag in Remy before kicking Gill in the balls repeatidly again. He then celebrated his win by smashing up an SUV, blowing up a sunken ship with his fists and then posing some more.

Isawa Akuma eventually found the secrets which he sought. He underestimated the power and cunning of an oni that he had captured, and the oni stole Akuma's name and escaped. Because of his search, Akuma had lost the very thing he hoped to find.
