Akuma: Evil Ryu
built 642 days ago
Using the same Shotokan school of martial arts that trained Ryu and Ken, Akuma has opposed them for years. Hi is demoniacally powerful due to him master of the dark arts, Gotetsu. Akuma hopes to one day confront and destroy his master using his signature mover "The Raging Demon."

Ryu eventually found Akuma's island (known as Onigami Isle or the Gokuentou) and challenged him. The intense battle that followed ended in a draw; Akuma was impressed as this was the closest he had come to a defeat yet. Telling Ryu to find him again when he had embraced the Satsui no Hadō, Akuma struck his island with a powerful blow and disappeared. The island fell apart around Ryu, who was left in the ocean to contemplate Akuma's words. Leaving his destroyed abode, Akuma thought about all the fighters he had encountered and wondered with excitement if one day he would fight someone strong enough to kill him in battle. This thought drove him on, finding a desolate cavern (... known as Kiga Cave) he began to train and await the day he would fight Ryu again.
Outside of the feud between Ryu, his allies and Shadoloo, lies Akuma. Particularly evil, but not aligned to any camp, Akuma seeks the best fighters so he can destroy them. Practising the dangerous art of Shotokan karate which puts his own life in danger, the stars have predicted that Akuma will one day face off against Ryu. And that day, one of them will leave this world for the next one. Akuma first appeared in Street Fighter II Turbo, after being rumoured to be hidden character Sheng Long in Street Fighter II. Sheng Long was a hoax for April’s Fool 1992, in EMG Magazine.
Gouki went totally evil and hardcore and changed his name to "Akuma" to like really rebel and stuff. It ... now meant that he was either a con artist, or using several internet usernames on the Capcomunity or he just wants to confuse people. His leg itching got worse, and he posed even more. Anyway, he went to fight Goku. The fight was long and drawn out, but Akuma learned to be cheap by defeating him with his Shun Goku Satsu ("Instant Goku Killer") and developed a habit of painting on the back of his Gi. That weiner kid Ken saw this and came over to fight him.
