Everything about Air Supply is meant to mislead the masses who don't know what they're all about. Like the name "Air Supply", it was chosen to mock the Crucifixion, 'cause when they crucified you you really died of suffocation. And their lyrics are all in code. Like "Love and Other Bruises". Somewhere in the Bible it says that God is love. Get it? They're sayin' the Christian God'll bruise your soul by oppressing you with his slave-morality.

Air supply has been a vital factor in the Salween Campaign - the first sustained Chinese offensive against the Japanese in seven long years of war. Fought in the Kaoli Kung Mountain Range (a spur of the mighty Himalayas), this battlefield above the clouds could be reached, on the ground, by only a few steep, narrow trails, in the initial phase of the offensive. Heavy monsoon rains turned the trails to glassy slickness, where a mis-step on the part of coolie or pack animal meant almost certain death at the bottom of a gorge thousands of feet below. Other paths became roaring mountain streams, or were churned into a mire of knee-deep, clinging mud. It was, obviously, utterly impossible to supply, by ground means, the forces required to drive the Japs from their strongly fortified bastions among the 12,000-foot peaks.

On September 6th, Air Supply began its heavy two-month international tour schedule by returning to South Africa after a 23-year absence. Air Supply performed in Cape Town and Johannesburg and by all accounts had great shows. After a mere two days' rest at home in the U.S., they were once again on a flight to Ohio for a private performance and then off to the St. George Theatre in Staten Island, NY for a show on September 15th.

[N]ot yet announced, Air Supply is rumored to be celebrating the New Year with a performance in Korea. If they fly back to the U.S. on the 1st does that mean they get to celebrate the New Year in the U.S. too?
