Air France joins its American counterparts in lowering summer business class fares to Europe. (Link may require you to scroll down to “65% off business class” link.) The prices are approximately 80-100% higher than the corresponding economy class fare, which is not as much of a discount as usual, but still a substantial discount to the usual business class fare.
Air France has three primary classes of international service: L'Espace Première (First), L'Espace Affaires (Business), and Tempo (Economy). European shorthaul flights feature Tempo class service. For flights to the Caribbean and Indian Ocean, a premium economy class, Alizé, is ... offered.[27] Inflight entertainment via AVOD (Audio Video on Demand) is available in select cabins.
"It is an example of the innovative initiatives that Air France aims to develop for our passengers," said Patrick Roux, Air France's vice president of marketing. "We are looking forward to extending this offer to other destinations."

Air France provides about 31" pitch on their 777s. While this is standard on most carriers, it is still very tight. Still, the width of the seat helps just a bit in making up for the tight pitch. The best aisle seats are those in the middle 3 section as they don't have the annoying IFE box below the seat. The recline is adequate, and oddly enough, with the seat fully reclined, you can find an adequate position for napping, if you stretch your feet all the way below the seat in front of you.
Air France has begun the process of removing the Boeing 747s from its fleet, in favour of the Boeing 777-300ER. A letter of intent has been signed for 6 747s to be purchased and converted to freighters and it hopes to have completely phased out all 747s by 2013.[26]
