Adware is advertising-supported software that displays pop-up advertisements. Adware is usually available via free downloads from the Internet. Adware is often bundled with or embedded within freeware, utilitarian programs like filesharing applications, search utilities, information-providing programs (such as clocks, messengers, alerts, weather, and so on), and software such as screensavers, cartoon cursors, backgrounds, sounds, etc. Although seemingly harmless, some adware programs may track your Web surfing habits. Deleting adware may result in the deletion of the bundled freeware application.

There is nothing free in the world- because usually with it comes Adware. Icons crowding your desktop – means a few worms roaming around in your computer, now that should send the shudder down your spine! There is a way to get your free software and stay Adware free too. Whenever you are downloading anything, search the net with the name of the program, and add the keyword Adware, you will get your answer. If it is Adware free, then go ahead and download, if not, avoid like plague.

Install, at the same time a consumer downloads the Adware program, an un-install capability that the consumer can use at any time to easily and completely remove the Adware program. Un-install applications should clearly identify all programs and applications that will be removed as part of the un-install. This includes, but is not limited to, all programs contained in a bundled software offer and the creator/source of the Adware offer. Un-install applications should be available from the Add/Remove Programs facility in the consumer's operating system.
