Adrien Brody ("The Jacket," "King Kong") will star in Truth, Justice and the American Way for Focus Features and director Allen Coulter, reports Variety. Written by Paul Bernbaum, it's a story about the man who portrayed TV's Superman, George Reeves.

Adrien Brody ("The Village," "King Kong") will star in "Truth, Justice and the American Way," the biopic of television "Superman" star George Reeves. Brody will play the lead detective investigating Reeves' death in 1959.

Brody spent 9 months in New Zealand working on Kong. Soon after came the Men's Health cover shoot, and Brody conjured up the old discipline. He had only 3 weeks to prepare -- not enough time to invoke a major physical change, but plenty of time to "lean out," as he says. The best part: He was stuck in New Zealand doing postproduction work on Kong. So he went into mini-exile again, a minor-league version of what he did in Berlin (without the starvation). He cut out most sugars and all booze, and ate clean fuel like chicken and fish.
