Adam Baldwin (sometimes known as Adam Barlow) was the product of the dramatic marriage between ageing Mike Baldwin and Susan Barlow, daughter of Mike's long-term enemy Ken Barlow. The marriage did not last long and Susan moved to Scotland. Fast forward 16 years of so, and Ken received the news that Susan had been killed in a car accident and that Adam would be coming to live with him in Coronation Street. This caused a tug-of-love between Mike and Ken, resulting in Adam going to live with Mike but ... attending his Scottish boarding school. Two years later, Adam appeared again in the programme, this time played by a different actor. Recent plots have included the death of his father, Mike, and his subsequently inheriting part of the knicker factory Underworld.

The acting career of "Adam Baldwin" -- no relation to the famous Baldwin brothers Alec, "William", and Stephen -- has been filled with ups and downs as he aspires to the stardom that as yet, seems to elude him. Due to his muscular 6'4" frame, the handsome Baldwin is frequently cast as hulking bad guys and psychopathic killers. He has been involved with films since he appeared in "My Bodyguard" (1980), the story of a victimized teenager seeking the protection of the school bully (Baldwin) who is believed to have killed his brother. While he did a fine job as the taciturn, deeply traumatized young man who affects a violent facade to conceal his inner pain, it was his costar "Matt Dillon" who became famous.

Adam Baldwin has some Bones to pick. Adam will play Agent Kenton, a fellow FBI agent of David Boreanaz's character Booth on the March 15th episode of Bones called "Two Bodies in the Lab".
