Scanning your PC with Ad-Aware is as simple as pushing a button. After Ad-Aware has finished scanning it displays a list of all the threats on your computer. Each threat on the list is accompanied by a short description, this helps you decide whether or not you want to remove the threat.

Now Ad-Aware will start scanning your computer. This can take some time, so please be patient. When it is done, and alarm will sound (if your comptuer's sound is turned on), and another "Next" button will appear in the bottom-right corner. Click on it to continue.

It pretends to be the safe 'ad-aware.exe' process (notice the hyphen!). If it is on your system, it will try and spread itself by saving copies of itself into various folders on your computer.
