  1. The Rapture -- Events
The Rapture and other Biblical predictions of events surrounding the second coming of Christ have spawned a whole industry in recent years. Hal Lindsey's 1970 book The Late Great Planet Earth and the Left Behind series by Tim LaHaye and Jerry B. Jenkins have been at the forefront. Besides the many books, there are Websites, TV evangelists, lecture series, movies and videotapes. Some of these feature imaginative and vivid embellishments of Bible prophecies mingled with contemporary political and social theories. Most of these works go well beyond anything revealed in the Bible and are properly classified as fiction - not as Bible prophecy.
  2. Journaling -- Events
Journaling is a term coined for the practice of keeping a diary or journal that explores thoughts and feelings surrounding the events of one’s life. Journaling, as a stress management and self-exploration tool, is not the same as simply recording the happenings in one’s life, like keeping a log. To be most helpful, one must write in detail about feelings and cognitions related to stressful events, as one would discuss topics in therapy.
  3. Concert S -- Event
The Concert of Europe was formulated in 1815 as a mechanism to enforce the decisions of the Congress of Vienna. Composed of the Quadruple Alliance: Russia, Prussia, Austria, and Great Britain, its main priorities were to establish a balance of power, thereby preserving the territorial status quo, and to protect "legitimate" governments. Headed by Prince Metternich of Austria, the Concert of Europe was one of the first serious attempts in modern times to establish an international society to maintain the peace. This made it a significant event in world history, even though it only lasted for a few decades.

  5. One Tree Hill -- Events
Cornwall Park and One Tree Hill Domain are the legacy of Sir John Logan Campbell. Originally the land was a farm owned by him on the outskirts of Auckland. Upon his return from Italy in the 1880s he intended to build a great family residence on the slopes of the hill (where the current tearooms are) and planted many trees including olives on the slopes. Eventually he constructed a house closer to town (the land is now part of the Parnell Rose gardens). By about 1900 he realised that Auckland's suburbs were spreading at an alarming rate and he decided to leave the Greenlane property to the city as a park. Parts of the park, about 120 hectares, are still run as a farm today, providing Aucklanders with access to an example of rural life in the heart of the city.
  6. Winter Olympic Games -- Events
It wasn't until 1926 at the 24th IOC Session in Lisbon, that the 1924 events in Chamonix were retroactively designated as the first Winter Olympics.[2] The French town in the Haute-Savoie hosted the Games from January 25 to February 5. These first Olympics attracted more than 200 athletes from 16 nations, competing in 16 events. The first event on the program was 500 m speed skating won by U.S. athlete Charlie Jewtraw, who thereby became the first Olympic Winter Games champion, though not the first winter Olympic champion, since figure skating and ice hockey were held in 1908 and 1920. Overall, in 1924, Finnish and Norwegian athletes dominated events.
  7. Posttraumatic Stress Disorder -- Traumatic Events
Posttraumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) is an anxiety disorder that can occur after you have been through a traumatic event. A traumatic event is something horrible and scary that you see or that happens to you. During this type of event, you think that your life or others' lives are in danger. You may feel afraid or feel that you have no control over what is happening.
  8. El Nino -- El Nino Event
The two primary considerations of military significance from an El Nino event are droughts and floods. With the U.S.'s strong emphasis on "electronic warfare and suppressive countermeasures," it should be noted that droughts produce great amounts of dust. During the 1982-83 El Nino event, the drought that enveloped eastern Australia ( Figure 7) produced a dust storm that dumped more than 11,000 tons of dry soil on the city of Melbourne in 40 minutes. This drought became the driest summer in the Melbourne area in more than 200 years.
  9. Strategic Command -- World War
Strategic Command - European Theater is WWII Grand Strategy at its best. As the supreme commander of the Axis or Allied forces, the player shapes the fates of the nations at war during the Second World War in Europe.
  10. Thirteen -- Thirteen Days
The film "Thirteen Days" received praise for conveying the suspense of the Cuban Missile Crisis, but may have altered some of the details to best tell the story. For example, the film plays up the role of Kevin Costner's character Kenny O'Donnell, who was a real person, but is not thought to have played as big a role in the actual events as in the film.
