  5. Covert Action
Covert Action is a stunning melange of rapid-fire retro imagery accomplishing Child's proclaimed goal to "disarm my movies." "I wanted to examine the erotic behind the social and remake those gestures into a dance that would confront their conditioning and, as well, relay the multiple fictions the footage suggests (the Ôfacts' forever obscured in the fragments left us). The result is a narrative developed by its periphery, a story like rumor: impossible to trace, disturbing, explosive."
  6. Action Force -- Battle Action Force
The Battle Action Force back stories that accompanied the release of the figures (see Battle Action Force tie in), were more extensive than were the case for the other Action Force ranges, with the possible exception of Z Force. Capitalising on the popularity of the real SAS, many of the comic back-stories of the characters and storylines involved SAS Force. Indeed, after appearing in the first-ever Action Force story[4], the SAS were the only Action Force unit that consistently appeared in storylines following the introduction of the third generation and the arrival of Cobra.

  9. Rational Choice Theory -- Actions
The methodological individualism of rational choice theorists leads them to start out from the actions of individuals and to see all other social phenomena as reducible to these individual actions. For Homans... it was also necessary to see individual actions as reducible to these conditioned psychological responses (see also Emerson 1972a and 1972b). This position was justified on the grounds that the principles of rational choice and social exchange were simply expressions of the basic principles of behavioural psychology. While many other rational choice theorists have rejected this claim - and Homans himself came to see it as inessential - it is worth looking, briefly, at the argument.
