Accupril may cause dizziness, lightheadedness, or fainting. These effects may be worse if you take it with alcohol or certain medicines. Use Accupril with caution. Do not drive or perform other possibly unsafe tasks until you know how you react to it.

Accupril® contains magnesium which can interfere with the absorption of certain antibiotics. If you are taking a tetracycline antibiotic, take it at least 2 hours apart from this medicine. If you are taking a quinolone antibiotic (e.g., ciprofloxacin, levofloxacin), consult your pharmacist for the proper times to take it.

If you need to have any type of surgery, tell the surgeon ahead of time that you are taking Accupril. You may need to stop using the medicine for a short time.
