Induced abortion is not legal in every place. In some countries, a doctor who does an induced abortion is doing a crime. In the United States, Canada, and many countries in Europe abortion is legal (not a crime). In some countries like Ireland and Somalia it is legal only to save the life of the woman. If a woman is raped in Ireland and becomes pregnant, she cannot get an induced abortion. She must have the baby of the man who raped her.

After the abortion it is normal to bleed for a couple of days. After that, the bleeding will decrease for a couple of weeks. A period or menstruation will, in most cases, occur after five to six weeks. If the woman bleeds more heavily than she would normally, it could be because her uterus has not been emptied completely. Although abortion should be allowed, the pregnant women should not have a right to bring serious nonfatal harm to their future children. The harm does affect a conscious object (the future person) and is bad. Thus, it is reasonable to require pregnant women to have an appropriate lifestyle for development of a normal person. If a woman fails to have an appropriate lifestyle, she may be penalized with forced abortion (to prevent creation of defective people).
