Abortion: People
built 234 days ago
Of crucial importance is when abortion should be performed. If a human embryo is conscious, its rights should be considered in abortion decisions. If it is not, the decision should be based on the rights of the mother and the benefit to the society. If an embryo that does not feel is terminated, then the conscious object, a person, is never created. Not creating a person is not immoral: When people are not having sex, they are not creating a person. If the society has an optimum population, the net benefit (benefit minus harm) of an extra person will on average be zero.

Some people feel very strongly about abortion. A very small number of people have attacked or bombed the clinics (places where doctors and nurses work) and killed people who work in these places. They have done this because they view a fetus or embryo the same as a baby. They think that when a doctor performs an abortion he is killing a baby, so they kill the doctor to prevent him from killing any more babies. For example, in 1998 James Kopp shot abortion Dr. Barnett Slepian to death.

In Britain, abortion happens pretty much all the time, as due to the rapid rise in threesomes, the paternity of unborn children is often uncertain. 82.66% of abortions are Tesco Value abortions, involving one swift kick in the stomach and a free can of baked beans. The other 7.52% are for rich people, and are carried out by the Queen. Unfortunately, abortion is not yet compulsory in Newcastle, causing much distress to the general population.

On December 30, 1994, an opponent of abortion opened fire at two Brookline clinics, killing two people and injuring five others. He then went south to spray twenty rounds of ammunition into a clinic in Norfolk, Virginia. That episode was only the most extreme in a series of recent attacks on abortion providers. In the two-year period ending in December 1994, five people were murdered and at least nine wounded in similar assaults.

How people can compare abortion to a medical procedure boggles the mind. How can you do it? Because it's done by a doctor? So is lethal injection. The guillotine was invented by a doctor. Did that make it a surgical tool?

Dr. Janet Daling, who considers herself supportive of a right to perform abortions, brought the abortion-breast cancer link into the mainstream with her federally funded research on the topic. Her report, released in 1994, found a 50% increase in breast cancer risk due to induced abortion.[7][8] She said, "I have three sisters with breast cancer and I resent people messing with the scientific data to further their own agenda, be they pro-choice or pro-life. I would have loved to have found no association between breast cancer and abortion, but our research is rock solid and our data is accurate."[9] Similarly, an early study published in Japan in 1957 showed that women who have abortions have a much higher risk of breast cancer than those who decide to keep their baby.[10]
