Baddeley, known for his excellent putting, ran in five birdies and numerous par putts. In practice, he has been focusing on improving his driving and iron shots and it was obvious Saturday that it was working. Baddeley stands at +2 on the extremely difficult Oakmont layout and he has a two-shot lead over Tiger Woods. Four other golfers (Bubba Watson, Justin Rose, Paul Casey, and Stephen Ames) are another shot back at +5. Baddeley played the first two rounds of the 2000 Masters with Tiger and the two will be going at it again in the final round of the U.S. Open on Sunday.

But on Sunday in Chicago, the gulf between himself - and every other player, for that matter - and Tiger Woods was again there for all to see.
