Aamir Khan, the son of Tahir Husain, has been a producer, actor, director and writer in Bollywood. At age 23, Aamir Khan shot to fame in 1988, with Mansoor Khan's blockbuster film, Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak. Born on 14 March 1965, he was a child artist in Yaadon Ki Baaraat in 1973. He is a nephew of late Nasir Husain, a well-known director, producer and a writer. Mansoor Khan, an actor and husband of Zeenat Aman, is Aamir's cousin.

Aamir Khan and Kiran Rao are tying the knot at Bandra court on December 28. it followed by a grand reception at the resort town Panchgani. Aamir Khan was born in Mumbai into a Muslim family that has been actively involved in the Indian film-industry. His roots are connected to the ethnic Pashtuns from Afghanistan due to him being a descendant of Maulana Abul Kalam Azad.[5] His father Tahir Hussain is a producer; his uncle Nasir Hussain was a director. He has acted in a few films directed by his cousin Mansoor Khan. His brother Faisal Khan is an actor, and they have co-starred in the 2000 film Mela. His cousin Tariq was an actor in the 1970s who notably appeared in Yaadon Ki Baraat and Hum Kisi Se Kum Nahin.
