built 677 days ago
Update (August 3, 2007): Aamir Khan's current blog is here: www.lagaandvd.com/blog.php. He seems to be updating it regularly (last updated: Oct 8, 2007). Note (Oct 15, 2007): Aamir no longer uses this blog. This blog has posts from June 17, 2007 to Oct 8, 2007.
aamir Aamir Khan’s blog is basically a promotional tool for the Lagaan DVD and learning tool ( according to Aamir Khan) for the actor. Although, he started his official website a year back on June 2006, but the website is still “Under Construction” phase with a letter from the actor and feedback form on the home page.

Aamir Khan Aamir Khan, it seems, is seriously establishing his film production company in a big way. After producing his first film 'Lagaan' a few years back, he is now busy with two films, the remake of 'Ghajini' in Hindi and 'Taare Zameen Par'.

Thankfully, Aamir was right back on form in Lagaan: Once Upon a Time in India (2001) and Dil Chahta Hai (2001), two of the finest films of his career. Lagaan looks at a village in India in 1893. The rains have failed, and the people of the village hope that they will be excused from paying the crippling land tax that their British rulers have imposed. Instead, the capricious British officer in charge challenges them to a game of cricket, a game totally alien and unknown to them. If they win, they get their wish; if they lose... the increased tax burden will destroy their lives. Lagaan is a fine triumph-of-the-underdog film and went on to be nominated for Best Foreign film at the Oscars though it lost to the Bosnian film, No Man's Land (2001).

There is more of Aamir Khan to come. Looks like he dons a new look with every movie. Dil Chahta Hai saw him with a different hairdo and beard (if you can call that, one). In Lagaan he had the look of a dusty villager and now in 1857: The Rising, he has a completely different look.
On the ladder to success is Aamir Khan’s son, Junaid Khan. Aamir hit the cricket ball beyond boundaries in Lagaan and impressed the audiences. His son Junaid ... saved a crucial goal during an inter-school football match in Mumbai this week.
