A Few Good Men: Tom Cruise
built 224 days ago
Astonishingly, Jack Nicholson's legendary performance as a military tough guy in A Few Good Men really amounts to a glorified cameo: he's only in a few scenes. But they're killer scenes, and the film has much more to offer. A US soldier is dead, and military lawyers Lieutenant Daniel Kaffee (Tom Cruise) and Lieutenant Commander JoAnne Galloway (Demi Moore) want to know who killed him. "You want the truth?" snaps Colonel Jessup (Nicholson). "You can't handle the truth!". Cruise ... shines as a lazy lawyer who rises to the occasion, and Demi Moore gives a command performance.

To say A Few Good Men is superb is an understatement. This film has it all: a great story, great acting, great suspense, and great drama. The film should really be part of the 5-Star Collection. The film has a great cast Tom Cruise, Demi Moore, Jack Nicholson, Kevin Bacon, and Kevin Pollak.

'A Few Good Men' is a classic courtroom drama centering on the killing of a marine by fellow soldiers on Guantanamo Island. The original was a brilliantly off-key early 90s thriller, combining slick script, cute performers in Tom Cruise and Demi Moore, and a searing central performance from Jack 'You Can't Handle the Truth' Nicholson, one of the best in a distinguished career. Sorkin and director David Esbjornson have brought the script right up-to-date, but the underlying conflicts between "Truth, Justice and the American Way" remain as sharp as ever.

By the way, David Iglesias, fired prosecutor from New Mexico, was thelawyer for whom Tom Cruise played in the movie, "A Few Good Men."Mr. Iglesias made mistakes early in this scandal, trying to give his fellowRepublican congressman, Pete Domenici of New Mexico, the benefit of the doublt; it is hard to think of questioningthe integrity of the Executive Branch- the leaders who set the stage. But the Rovemeister, a Rottweiller, onlyintensified his grab and became more egregious. So David, an ethical man, a captain in the Naval Reserves, a defender and patriot of this country, a man of justice and aRepublican man, wouldn't put politics over country.
