50 Cent Lyrics: Game
built 178 days ago
After the success of 50 Cent's Get Rich Or Die Tryin', Interscope granted 50 Cent his own label, like his mentor Eminem. In 2003, G-Unit Records officially became a record label. 50 Cent appointed his manager Sha Money XL as the president. 50 Cent is the first signed artist to G-Unit Records besides the original Shady and Aftermath Records. In 2003, the label signed on Lloyd Banks (Christopher Lloyd), Tony Yayo (Marvin Bernard) and Young Buck (David Danell Brown) as the established members of G-Unit. In 2004, 50 Cent alongside Dr. Dre signed The Game (Jayceon Taylor) to the label.

Grimy, streetwise and absolutely fearless, 50 Cent, born Curtis Jackson, has dealt with more in his 26 years than most deal with in an entire lifetime. Raised without a father, 50 lost his mother when she was found dead of "mysterious circumstances" before he was a teenager and the orphaned rapper was taken in by his grandparents. After a crash course in street life on the infamous New York Avenue, now known as Guy R. Brewer Blvd., 50 amassed a heavy rep and a lengthy rap sheet. It wasn't until his son was born that 50 entered the rap game with the intent to win. He signed with JMJ, the label of Run DMC DJ, Jam Master Jay, and began crafting his skills. When the platinum hit makers The Trackmasters took notice of 50 and signed him to Columbia Records in 1999, his breakthrough seemed inevitable.

In late 2006 The Game reached out to 50 Cent to be on his new record, admittedly expecting a rejection, and got exactly as he expected. Though The Game's intentions may be questionable it would appear that there are still hard feelings on the part of 50.
