The images composing this full rotation movie of Vesta were captured by the adaptive optics-equipped Keck II telescope on April 4 and 5, 1999. They have been colored green to signify that they were captured through a filter at 50 nanometers sensitive to the presence of the common rock-forming mineral olivine, which is green.
