A special 20/20 investigation uncovers the bloody and violent underworld of dog fighting. Reporter Pete Cronshaw joins a raid on a man considered to be a "Don" of pit bull fighting. Upwards of 1,000 people are involved in organised fights - long and bloody fights which are sometimes to the death. Some of the images in this report are disturbing.

While "20/20" did raise several important issues concerning routine infant circumcision, they presented only a superficial overview of this medical controversy and pointedly failed to deal with any issue in any depth. If a person has 15/15 vision, it does not mean that the individual's vision is better than one who has 20/20. It simply means normal sharpness of vision at 15 feet just as 20/20 indicates normal acuity at 20 feet. For consistency, optometrists in the U.S. use 20 feet as the standard to express sharpness of vision. Other countries express visual acuity in their own way. In Britain, for example, optometrists express visual acuity in meters (6/6 is considered normal).

When doctors use the phrase “20/20 vision,” they are measuring visual acuity, but doctors use a different notation when taking a measurement of the prescription of the eye. Doctors compare how the shape of your eye differs from one with perfect vision. This difference is assigned a number that expresses the severity of the error. The number is named a diopter. An eye that does not require corrective lenses is assigned the number (0), and the measurable range of correction is from (+14) to (-14), depending on the aberrations your eye has.
