Using essentially the same body as in 1955 and 1956, the 1957 Chevrolet spiced things up a bit with the addition of fins and a totally redesigned front. A heavier bumper, with rubber tipped bullets at either end dropped down to form the lower boundary of the grille. The mesh grille had a horizontal bar with the Chevy emblem in the center and round parking lights at each end. Dual hood ornaments set off the hood. Side trim began at the headlights and just after the door, sloped down to meet the top of the rear bumper. Just below the beltline dip, a top spear jutted up and followed the contour of the fins, with silver anodized panels between the chrome spears.
