The name of the album refers to the year 1924 when "Islamic state was destroyed" (see Abolishment). The album was recorded before 9/11, but it is supposed that after 9/11 the group became controversial as Islam came further into public awareness in the United States.

The Providence Journal Santa Fund, the longest running campaign among Belo media companies that dates to 1924, and Hasbro, Inc., joined together for a statewide Children's Holiday Hope Fund. More than 57,000 local children received toys, hats and mittens. So far, The Providence Journal Santa Fund has raised more than $107,000. The campaign officially ends on March 31.

A provision in the 1924 law barred entry to those ineligible for citizenship — effectively ending the immigration of all Asians into the United States and undermining the earlier "Gentlemen's Agreement" with Japan. Efforts by Secretary of State Hughes to change this provision were not successful and actually inflamed the passions of the anti-Japanese press, which was especially strong on the West Coast.

In 1921, the International Olympic Committee voted to stage “International Sports Week 1924” in Chamonix, France. This event was a complete success and was retroactively named the First Olympic Winter Games. The first event to be decided in Chamonix was the men’s 500m speed skating. The first gold medal went to Charles Jewtraw of the United States. A. Clas Thunberg of Finland earned medals in all five speed skating events: three gold, one silver and one bronze. Norway’s Thorleif Haug dominated Nordic skiing, winning both cross-country races and the Nordic combined.
