1914: Great Britain
built 203 days ago
German industry At the start of the Great War in 1914, Germany was a relatively young power, only coming into existence following a series of wars in 1871. Germany's Chancellor, Otto von Bismarck, had shepherd the country into the 20th century with the adage that Germany must always be in a majority of three in any dispute among the five great European powers. His aim was to maintain peaceful ties with Russian.

The 1914 style year was a time of Ford’s greatest changes. The moving final assembly line, the Five Dollar Day, the $50 Rebate, and Ford’s first 300,000 unit production record all occurred during this period. And, of course, the car itself evolved considerably.

The "generation of 1914" has been redefined. Now, it is no longer the generation born around the year 1914 that will see the prophecies of Matthew 24 come to pass before they all die off; rather it is anyone who is a member of that wicked generation who witness the troublesome events of Matthew 24 who will see Christ return to execute judgment (invisibly of course). The information has been hinted at but has officially begun with the Oct. 15, 1995 Watchtower and further expounded upon with the Nov. 1, 1995 Watchtower. Also, the work of separating the "sheep and the goats" which at one time began in 1914 now hasn't even started yet and won't until after the Great Tribulation.

Sopwith F.1 Camel Full Scale Mock up One of the great aeroplanes to serve during the 1914-18 period, the Avro 504 series were built in a large number of marks for a wide variety of purposes. The first '504 was built in 1912 as a successor to the Avro 500 'Military Machine'. In armed forces service the '504s were used as bombers, home defence scouts and coastal reconnaissance. The most well known of all types was the Avro 504K two seat trainer, most British wartime (and post-war) pilots gained their wings in the '504K. In civil service, 504s became passenger transports, offering joy flights as part of 'flying circuses' that toured the country.

The naval race between Germany and Great Britain between 1906 and 1914 created huge friction between both nations and it is seen as one of the causes of World War One. In 1906, Britain launched the first dreadnought - a ship that meant all others were redundant before its awesome fire power.
