From the point of view of the Asians targeted by anti-Asian agitation in B.C., the riots of 1907 were only one incident and was soon followed by anti-Asian legislation. These included the Hayashi-Lemieux Agreement of 1908, which limited the number of Japanese migrants; the 1908 Continuous Journey Act, which cut off migrants from India; and the 1923 Chinese Exclusion Act, which finally answered the long-standing call of anti-Asian organizations for the ending of Chinese migration to Canada.

Named after the Gadsden Purchase, the Gadsden Hotel, built in 1907, was the lodging of choice for ranchers, cattlemen and miners in the early 1900s. Since 1991, the "Gadsden Ghost," often seen in army-style attire, allegedly stays at the hotel, particularly during Christmas and Lent, with additional appearances throughout the year. As one TripAdvisor traveler said, "We've had ghost experiences every time we've been to the Gadsden Hotel, but it hasn't been anything dreadful, but rather pleasant and entertaining."

Following the Panic of 1907, the reform elements gradually gained the upper hand. An emerging consensus affirmed that thorough bank reform was necessary to provide badly needed currency elasticity (a major issue in the Panic) and the general soundness of the banking system. Congress responded by passing stop-gap legislation, the Aldrich-Vreeland Act (1908), until more thorough actions could be prepared.
