The HP-01 was a marvel of miniaturization and intelligent design. It was HP's first watch and their first small algebraic calculator but it was more than just a wristwatch and a calculator in the same package. It combined them to do things that neither could do alone. Its user interface combined the best of both worlds. For example, to change time zones, the user displayed the time, added or subtracted the appropriate amount and stored the result.

The NX-01 utilizes the dual-nacelle design that was first employed by Cochrane's Phoenix. The NX-01 was originally armed with plasma cannons and Triton-class spatial torpedoes,[2] and protected by polarized hull plating. Later upgrades saw the Enterprise fitted with more powerful weapons, with plasma cannons being replaced by 3 phase cannons rated for a maximum power output of 500 gigajoules and the spatial torpedoes with photonic torpedoes.[3] These new weapons systems were still in the experimental stage. Unlike vessels in later eras, Enterprise was not equipped with a defensive energy shielding (shields were still in development[4]). Instead, Enterprise added to the defensive power of the duranium hull through electromagnetic polarization, a form of reactive armor.The front of the saucer section is equipped with a "deflector" that protects the ship from space dust and other particles that would otherwise cause significant damage at faster-than-light speeds.

On Friday, 2008 August 01, a total eclipse of the Sun is visible from within a narrow corridor that traverses half the Earth. The path of the Moon's umbral shadow begins in Canada and extends across northern Greenland, the Arctic, central Russia, Mongolia, and China. A partial eclipse is seen within the much broader path of the Moon's penumbral shadow, which includes northeastern North America, most of Europe and Asia.

This patch will update the full version of Symantec Partition Magic from version 8 to 8.01. Partition Magic was initially developed by PowerQuest who were purchased by Symantec in 2003. Not surprisingly, this can create some confusion - apart from some branding, there is no clear guide to the differences between the PowerQuest and Symantec releases (they are both version 8). This 8.01 patch was released by Symantec but the readme refers to the PowerQuest-branded version.
