The Nashville Predators is a well-known professional ice hockey team. This team is a member of the Central Division of the Western Conference in the NHL (NHL). It was widely thought that the Predators were going to relocate after the 2007-2008 season. However, there was a group that wanted to keep the team in Nashville. This group provided a letter of intent to current owner Craig Leipold on August 1, 2007. This letter gave the group exclusive negotiating rights to purchase the team.
