Besides Celtics ticket holders, Paul Pierce may be the biggest beneficiary of the deal for Garnett and Allen. In the past Pierce has been forced to carry the team on his shoulders. That burden looked like it wore him out last season as he missed a number of games with injuries. Now that he’s got two NBA All-Stars running the court with him he should be able to play out a full season and take a break when necessary.
