Dr Turner has an interest in the British school of object-relations psychoanalysis, and lectures regularly to psychoanalytic audiences about relations between psychoanalysis and literature. Last year he addressed the Second Otto Gross Congress in Zurich about Lawrence and Gross, and spoke to the 'Winnicott nel 2000' Congress in Milan about the history of the concept of illusion. He has ... published essays on the connections between Wordsworth and the British tradition of psychoanalysis both in the International Review of Psychoanalysis and in Romanticism. He is currently engaged in further work in this area.
