Offshore drilling pollution comes from operation discharges and drilling accidents during oceanic oil exploration. This source of oil pollution is one that affects the organisms that live in the water column near the incident site. The oil is typically released deeply under water. The oil then, as a result of its chemical nature rises to the surface giving it more then ample time to contaminate the surrounding aquatic environment.
