Owners of Aboveground Storage Tanks larger than 500 gallons must notify the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency (MPCA) of the existence of these tanks. In addition, tank owners are required to notify the MPCA within 30 days of change of product or change of status of ASTs. Notification requirements can be met by completing an Aboveground Tank Facility Notification Form and submitting it to the MPCA.
